Sustainable Manufacturing

At Peacepod, we’re passionate about building a sustainable future. By following eco-friendly practices, we not only reduce our impact on the environment but also make our operations more efficient and cost-effective. Our mission is to offer you high-quality, eco-friendly furniture while preserving the planet’s resources. With this vision in mind, we’re constantly innovating and improving to remain a leader in sustainability.

Materials & Environmental Standards

We ensure that the materials we use meet the highest environmental standards:

Steel: ISO 14001

Wood: ISO 14001, FSC

Edging: ISO 14001, FSC/PEFC

Packaging: ISO 14001

FSC Certification

We’re committed to responsible forestry by using materials certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). This ensures that the wood in our products comes from forests that are managed sustainably, balancing environmental, social, and economic benefits. With FSC certification, you can feel confident that our furniture is sourced ethically and responsibly.

ISO 14001 Certification

Our environmental management system follows the ISO 14001 standard, which helps us continuously improve our environmental performance. This certification supports our efforts to boost energy efficiency, reduce waste, and comply with environmental regulations. Our ISO 14001 certification reflects our dedication to sustainability and environmental responsibility, which we share with our customers and partners.

Furniture Recycling and Sustainability Policy

We make sustainability a priority by focusing on furniture recycling and minimizing environmental impact. Our goal is to create high-quality, eco-friendly furniture while conserving natural resources and reducing waste.

Recycling Initiatives

We’re committed to using recyclable materials in our production process. By repurposing old furniture, we help conserve natural resources and reduce waste. Our waste management policies ensure that materials like wood, metal, and plastic are recovered and sent to recycling facilities whenever possible.

Recycling Steel

We optimize the use of metal sheets and profiles through cutting programs and CNC machines, collecting leftover scrap metal to be recycled and used in other products.

Recycling Wood

Chipboard and MDF panels are also optimized using cutting programs and CNC machines. The smallest pieces are cut for furniture, and the remaining waste, including sawdust, is collected and sent to recycling companies. These materials are often used for green energy production.

Recycling Fabric

Fabrics are used efficiently, with the smallest upholstery pieces being cut from the leftovers. Any fabric waste is collected and sent to recycling, where it’s repurposed into bags or other small textile products.
